A PLAYDATE GAME
Complete chess with Amiga-style animated battles, character voices, and a crank that rewinds time.
Underneath, it's a complete, honest game of chess. But move onto an occupied square and the board clears for an animated duel: spearmen clash, knights charge, and the king himself steps up when he has to.
Every piece marches, fights and talks with a personality of its own.
Inspired by Battle Chess, Interplay's 1988 classic that turned every capture into a brawl on the Amiga 500. The name is a nod to that machine.
Each piece fights with its own weapon, moves and voice lines.
Take on the CPU at the difficulty you like, as White, Black or a coin flip. Or pass the Playdate to a friend and the board flips each turn.
Undock it mid-game to scrub back through every move, then crank forward and play on.
Put the Playdate down and your game is waiting when you come back.
Finished games land in your history, ready to replay battle by battle.
Respects Reduce Flashing and Upside Down mode for left-handed play.
